It is not easy to find a team of forward-thinking, passionate, knowledgeable, and professional people like Mas, Eduardo, and Christian who can take the vision you have in your mind and transform it into reality - but Agave is the team that can and will do it. Many companies advertise themselves as customer-centric but Agave talks it, walks it, lives it, and embodies it. Every evening for every stage of our project, we received a text with updates of what to expect for the following day and when their team could be expected on site - so as a customer we were never left wondering. Each day started out with a handshake, a conversation, and a walk through and ended the same way, too. Our project focused on adding irrigation automation control work, welding and installing focal points in the yard for our fire pit and garden pathways, and refreshing the poolside planters with hardier and more attractive plants. Our yard went from a beautiful space to an extraordinary escape. Heavenly is how I would describe our end result. I recently had an outstanding experience working with Agave LD Landscape Services. I hired them to landscape my backyard for privacy, put down new sod and to fix a major drainage issue. From the architect to the project manager, supervisor, installation and monitoring crews, everyone was highly skilled with a very strong work ethic. The stages and detail that went into my project were extensive. When the project is complete, they then monitor the health of the plants for three months. I cannot speak more highly of them and will be hiring them again for my front yard.
It’s not hard to find someone to cut your lawn, neighborhood teenagers come to mind. And over 12 months, Agave’s lawn cutting and blowing was decent, certainly speedy. They’re in an out in 20 minutes every time, without fail. Everything else from Agave? Poor. In particular, 1) Changing service dates on you constantly with little notice, 2) No follow-up and non-existent communication, no relationship, 3) Did not perform what was promised on the website—that is, professionalism, at the price. They promised advising, looking out for problems for whole-lawn care. Didn’t happen at all. We had a huge budget to do up our new place: trimming and planting trees, plants, planters, gravel, lawn aeration, seeding. They never asked, except only irrigation which we said we needed later on but not this year while there is construction happening. We pushed about about all of these things, and came away ignored, juggled around, amounting to nothing again and again. Our last account manager was kind enough to make a design for us to put in plants, though he said it was a favor, but in the middle of working wirh us got fired/left. The new account manager doesn’t exist as far as we know. No more outdoor space of our dreams, in the last half of our contract our relationship with them backed into just figuring out when they were coming next. We have a padlocked backyard, so when we missed a service date, half of our service wasn’t completed. Other companies come back later in the day/week or contact you when time after time they run into a locked backyard. Not with these guys, no nothing. Then the next service day is changed again immediately. We are in Central Austin, and are home all of the time and spent so much time worrying. Email them and you’re hit with the Office Manager who clearly is there to protect everyone else at the company from feedback. Excuses for days, doesn’t follow up for days, and crazily doesn’t pass any information on. Overall Agave was unprofessional, difficult to get a conversation with, and when I look back, downright hostile to work/not work with. The guys that came were detail-oriented, though they never used any tools, only the same cutters and sprays. Detail-oriented might also be a stretch, they spray a lot of our bark everywhere, and the edging tends to be very iffy. And they didn’t communicate either. Still they’re miles better though than anybody working at the office. My advice is to not get fooled by their all-smiles marketing and shop around. These young brothers have inherited a company that their dads built, and are self-satisfied and only want good news while doing as little as possible. So, teenager-level service with entitlement prices. I can’t imagine much worse.
I began using this company for all of my lawn care services after seeing what an amazing job they did at multiple neighbors’ homes. The winter months took a toll on my grass, leaving it dry and patchy. After only a few months of using Agave LD, my yard was completely transformed. The grass is now thick and a beautiful luscious green color. They’ve also done a wonderful job cleaning up and maintaining my flower beds. Not only do they perform quality services, they also have unparalleled customer service. Anytime I’ve received additional services, they’ve always followed up with a phone call, text, or email to ensure that the services provided were up to my standards and encouraged any feedback to better assist their customers in the future. Their website and online portal makes it easy to request services and set up automatic payments. When I decided to list my home last minute and needed a touch up to my flower beds, I contacted them on a Friday afternoon to which they stayed late to guarantee that the service was completed by Monday morning, just in time for professional photography. They even replaced some plants that had died as a courtesy and at no cost to me. They really go above & beyond for their customers and the quality of their work speaks for itself.
we have used agave for over a year without issue, however, recently they cracked multiple limestone steppers and refuse to acknowledge that they have done so. We have limestone steppers on both sides of the house and the damage is only on the side they enter upon each service. We had another landscape company come out to review damage done and they confirmed that the cracks ARE NOT due to freezing, as agave claimed. Their own maintenance assistant, Jessica admitted that it looked like heavy equipment did the damage, but would reach out to the maintenance manager to call us and discuss. He persistently refused that his employees did this, all the while blaming weather. (seeing as the steppers on the other side of the house were not damaged, this makes NO sense). We have promptly canceled our service as we can no longer trust them in our yard.
